Biography

Kingchih Fan (‘KC’) is an adjunct professor at NYU Stern School of Business, where he teaches Entrepreneurship through Acquisition, a course focused on finding, valuing, and acquiring an existing business. He is an entrepreneur, investor, and operator with extensive experience in private equity, growth marketing and technology entrepreneurship.

KC is a founder and General Partner at The Buy Build Fund, a firm that focuses on acquiring cash flow-positive companies and enhancing their value through digital transformation. The firm’s partners have collectively invested in over 100 companies.

He is also the founder of iGOTHAM, a company that partners and consults with private equity firms and family offices on proprietary deal flow, growth marketing and deal structuring. iGOTHAM owns equity in a number of businesses with combined annual revenues exceeding $100M. The company leverages AI, technology, and automation to accelerate the acquisition process.

Previously, KC served as an Operating Partner at The Riverside Company, a $10B private equity firm, where he worked on growth marketing and scaling B2B SaaS portfolio companies. Prior to this, KC was the Chief Business Officer at SIB Fixed Cost and led Venture Capital Engagement in New York for Microsoft.

KC co-founded LiftDNA, a technology company that commercialized a programmatic advertising process which allowed publishers to sell ad space in real time. LiftDNA was bootstrapped and reached $10M in gross revenue within 2.5 years before merging with OpenX.
